101 nights festival to transform Kuwait to a commercial center

KUWAIT: The Kuwait Festival for Tourism and Entertainment will launch its first session next January under the slogan ‘Kuwait: One Hundred and One Nights’. The event is aimed at transforming Kuwait into a distinctive financial, economic, and cultural center, the President of the Kuwait Festivals Association, Tariq Al-Obaid, said after the meeting of the festival’s organizing committee at the Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre in the presence of liaison officers.

The festival would also achieve the objectives of the coordinating committee on enhancing non-oil revenues “because the recreational tourism is one of the most important non-oil sectors for the national economy. The Kuwait Festival for Tourism and Entertainment will stimulate family tourism in Kuwait and the Gulf countries through the establishment of many events and various tourism activities, during which the focus will be on Arabic content and is characterized by inclusiveness, diversity, innovation, and modernity,” he explained.
