The Ministry of Health investigations into the assault on a male and female doctor at the Farwaniya Hospital are is continuing to take the necessary measures regarding this “unfortunate incident”, in accordance with the Profession Practice Law No. 70 of 2020.
Meanwhile, the Kuwait Medical Association has issued a statement denouncing the incident – assault on a Kuwaiti doctor and an expatriate doctor – at the Farwaniya Hospital, noting that the association has contacted the two doctors and appointed a lawyer to file a lawsuit against the attacker, reports a local Arabic daily.
Health sources confirmed the incident happened Thursday afternoon, in the emergency department of Farwaniya Hospital, specifically near the recovery rooms.
A detailed report of the assault has been directly forwarded to the Farwaniya Health District administration. In the meantime, the Ministry of Health while condemning the attack said it does not tolerate such behavior and insisted on the protection of medical personnel.
