GIA and State of Art hosts ‘Art for a Cause’ workshop

KUWAIT: GIA hosted an art workshop at its Salmiya Branch in Khalid Complex on 18th October 2023. The event was held in collaboration with “State of Art”, a local art studio co-founded by Abrar Zenkawi and Ghadeer Alawadhi. The people of Palestine have been living amidst humanitarian crisis, scarcity of basic necessities and terror caused by Israel. This event was held to raise donations for the betterment of the Palestinian people.

The workshop was attended by 20 guests who painted about the idea of a “Free Palestine”. These guests joined by paying a donation based enrollment fee and were later invited to sell their paintings to customers. While some paintings have already been sold, there are still a few displayed at GIA Salmiya for customers to buy. All proceeds from the workshop and sales of the paintings will be donated towards the Palestinian cause. GIA is a Kuwaiti based modern-Mediterranean restaurant.

It boasts a wide array of clean menu items such as breakfast, salads and sandwiches that its customers keep coming back for.
