KU, Lebanon seek exchange of ideas

KUWAIT: The acting rector of Kuwait University, Fayez Al-Dhafiri, received the acting ambassador of Lebanon, Ahmed Arafa, and the visit is aimed at strengthening the bonds of cultural, academic, and research relations between Lebanon and Kuwait University. Al-Dhafiri welcomed the Acting Ambassador, stressing Kuwait University’s need to exchange experiences and cultural ideas between universities and educational institutions in the Arab world.

Prof. Al-Dhafiri said: “There is a strong and deep-rooted relationship between the two countries, especially in the fields of education,” stressing Kuwait University’s readiness to discuss ways to enhance academic and research cooperation.

Al-Dhafiri discussed with the Acting Ambassador the student cultural scholarships provided by Kuwait University to Lebanese students, in addition to the possibility of coordinating so as to conclude the memoranda of understanding for training and cultural programs related to United Nations programs. The Acting Ambassador presented a commemorative gift to the Acting Rector of Kuwait University on the occasion of this visit.
