Kuwaiti population increased by 11 percent, world increased by 7

According to a statistical report published by a local Arab daily, the number of Kuwaitis increased from 1,337,693 in 2016 to 1,502,138 in 2022, with an increase rate of approximately 11 percent. This occurred when the world’s population increased from 7.43 billion in 2016 to more than 8 billion in the current year, with an increase rate of nearly 7 percent. Moreover, the number of Kuwaitis stepped up from 1,370,013 in 2017 to 1,488,716 in 2021.

On the other hand, the world population reached 7.52 billion in 2017, and then 7.84 billion in 2021. The data showed the number of Kuwaitis according to gender, from 656,084 males and 681,609 females in 2016, and then totaling to 736,514 males and 765,624 females in 2022.
