In the latest news permitting marriage through social media, the Fatwa Authority of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs issued a fatwa based on the Ministry of Justice’s referendum on the legality of marriage using modern means of communication via the Internet.
The fatwa, of which a local Arabic daily has obtained a copy, the Fatwa Authority said in a referendum the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice for Family Affairs and Arbitration, shed light on the legality of concluding and documenting marriage contracts through modern electronic means.
