PAAET and KJA organize training program on media

KUWAIT: The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) and the Kuwait Journalists Association (KJA) organized a joint training program
on media. There were lectures from a group of lecturers who specialized in the field of media, with the participation of 25 trainees. Engineer Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, deputy director general of the applied training sector, underlined the joint training program between the commission and the Journalists Association, which is the first of its kind between the two entities.

Al-Tabtabaei explained that the program is being held for the first time in Kuwait and will last for six weeks. It will be concluded on December 21. The president of the Kuwait Journalists Association, Adnan Al-Rashed, said in a similar statement that the program is for those at the ministries of education and higher education, Kuwait University, private universities and the applied authority.

The trainees will receive diploma certificates approved by the applied authority and the Journalists Association. Al-Rashed praised the cooperation of the authority’s leaders for the success of the program. The supervisor and coordinator of the training program, Fatima Al-Azmi, said that the program covers all the skills that workers need in public relations in the educational field. The director of the Ibn Al-Haytham training center, Eng Hamad Al-Hamad, confirmed that the center organizes about 300 courses annually, in which nearly 4,000 state employees participate. — KUNA
